Character(s) In-Game: N/A

CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Elektra Natchios (real name), Louise Badeaux (alias; I'm undecided whether or not she'll use this but it's a canon alias so I figured it was relevant)
Age: Early 30s
Canon: Marvel Cinematic Universe (Netflix's Daredevil)

World Description: Marvel Cinematic Universe

History: Elektra and her role in the MCU.

CRAU: N/A

Death: When she spots Nobu about to stab Matt Murdock, she rushes in front of him to take the impalement instead, both saving Matthew from being killed and preventing the Hand from being able to use her as their ultimate weapon. (This occurs towards the end of the final episode of season two.)

What are your plans for this character in-game? Given what ends up happening in the Defenders and the fact that she ends up not returning for Daredevil's final season, I'd like to explore how Elektra reacts to living (so to speak) with the choices she's made, up to and including the one to save Matt's life and prevent the Hand from being able to use her. She'd obviously made it without expecting there to be an afterlife and she's lived her life prior to this ruthless and reckless, trying to survive and not thinking much about the things she's done to do so.

What aspects of this game and/or its setting are you most interested in having this character engage with? I'm always intrigued by the concept of the afterlife, what it could be and how we would react to its discovery. I think it would be especially interesting to explore that concept with a character that a) had made the choice to die and b) ends up being resurrected by the people she'd been trying to escape from. She has no way of realizing that in game and canon itself doesn't really explore her dealing with that even after her resurrection, and I think this setting would be an interesting place for her to come to terms with her choices in life while navigating her way through an unfamiliar world with everyone in the same situation.

How does your character generally get along with other people? Elektra knows how to get along and play nice when she needs to, so while she may not be overly friendly to people she'll likely get along with them well enough. This should not be mistaken as kindness, however; anything she does for anyone else will undoubtably have an ulterior motive, especially at first when she is freshly deceased and unsure of her new environment and the people in it.

What is your character's mental state upon entering the game? Fairly lucid considering the manner of her death; as I mentioned earlier, she made a concious decision to die. As far as her mental state not related to her recent death goes, Elektra is not entirely stable in life; she has a very questionable moral code and can be quick to anger and brutally violent, but she won't be looking to hurt anybody unless, say, someone attacks her first. She's going to be far more interested in figuring out what's going on, who she can trust, and what's brought them here.

Skills/Abilities: As of her canon point, Elektra's only abilities are those that can be achieved with a lifetime of education and training; these include exceptional skill in multiple forms of martial arts and ballet, as well as moderate fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is mentioned, French is confirmed in a scene where she speaks it with Matt and in another where she speaks it with her would-be assassin, and Japanese is at least read). She is also quite adept at observing human behavior and adapting her own to fit in with certain crowds, another skill learned from childhood when she was adopted by a diplomat and his wife as instructed by Stick when he left her with them.

Flaws/Weaknesses: Elektra is ruthless, violent, and manipulative; she is not only good at hurting people, she has a predisposed inclination towards it and enjoys it. Regarding manipulation, she has learned how to use her charm and looks to get people to do what she wants or needs, and this skill is actually why she was sent to Matt Murdock in the first place (Stick was hoping she could convince him to join the Chaste in their war against the Hand). Which brings me to one of her weaknesses - Matt himself. Matt is someone Elektra ends up falling for and, in spite of herself, changing for, though the ways are subtle. It's not so much her own behavior or code that changes, it's more accurate to say that she respects his, enough to leave when it becomes clear that in spite of Roscoe Sweeney having murdered his father, he has no interest in killing him. Stick is another weakness for her - she lives her life according to his code and follows whatever order he gives her (up until she falls for Matt), not only because he's the one in charge of the organization she'd been taken in to as a child, but because she respects him and sees him as a parental figure. Stick betraying her and sending someone to kill her towards the end of the season is a massive shock and leaves her questioning everything, especially when it's revealed she is the weapon the Hand has been waiting for.

Personality: Elektra is considered by many to be arrogant and aggressive, and this is displayed in her interactions with most people featured in the show, especially Matt - she was sent to push him towards violence and to get him to join the Chaste in the war against the Hand, and their initial bond strengthens after they test each other's fighting skills, comparing the forms of martial arts they'd trained in. She is also seen to be quite playful, often toying with Matt, business partners, and even those she's fighting, especially when she has the upper hand. It would not be entirely inaccurate to compare her to a cat, including the manner in which she shows she cares (for example, bringing Matt to the house of the man who'd killed his father so he could get his revenge). While these are all genuine parts of who Elektra is, it's important to remember her ability and tendency to manipulate those around her, both for her benefit and under the instruction of others.

It is also important to remember that both in spite of and addition to these aspects of her personality, she is someone who is very loyal and also someone who is very lonely. There are few people in her life that have made Elektra feel like she's worth anything (unfortunately, most of those people have ended up turning on her) and she shows intense, fierce loyalty to them and often their cause, until their betrayal is revealed. Since there are so few in her life who have understood her and even fewer who ended up accepting her without wanting to manipulate her, she's also extremely lonely and often closed off to people, only truly bonding with Matt in the end, both because of their history and because he understands what it's like to have to hide a part of yourself from the world.

Items: Her sai and the battle outfit she was killed in.
